New York's writers' variety show
Same Page Reading Series is the one you want to be at. Fun, funny, and decidedly not stuffy, it welcomes writers and performers of all levels and genres—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and comedy. It's low-key high art—the kind of reading series that seeks out passionate, dynamic writing but doesn't take itself too seriously. Named for the phrase you say to one another when you both just get it, Same Page was founded in 2018 by Mickie Meinhardt and Sarah Madges, two Brooklyn writers and longtime friends who wanted a more diverse place for all the kinds of interesting, wonderful words they hear from their peers.
Same Page takes place every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Red Room in the KGB Bar in the East Village. You can find and reply to event pages on our Facebook page.
Submissions are taken on a rolling basis. Please send a writing sample of no more than 1500 words along with a brief author bio and any social media links firstname.lastname@example.org. If you know the reading series schedule, please specify the day you are submitting for. Accepted general submissions will be assigned the next available reading series date. We reply to all submissions and will respond to yours as timely as we can.
